What is Elifba?
Elifba (or Qaida) is the traditional method for teaching Arabic letters and Quran reading. Its name comes from the first two Arabic letters "Alif" and "Ba." It has been used as the primary literacy tool in the Muslim world for centuries.
Elifba Stages
1) Letter recognition: isolated forms of 28 letters. 2) Writing forms: letter joining rules. 3) Vowel marks: fatha, kasra, damma. 4) Advanced marks: sukun, shadda, tanween. 5) Madd: elongation letters. 6) Simple word reading. 7) Short surah reading.
